Spider-Man: No Way Home Review: The Best Spider-Man Movie Ever Made

The cinematic event of the year has arrived. Spider-Man; No Way Home has officially swung into theaters and it doesn’t disappoint.

With Spider-Man’s identity now revealed, our friendly neighborhood web-slinger is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life as Peter Parker (Tom Holland) from the high stakes of being a superhero. When Peter asks for help from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

There are no real words to describe how incredible this movie is. After seeing Spider-Man: No Way Home I was utterly speechless and overwhelmed with emotions. This film was a cinematic masterpiece that gave so much nostalgia. It really was one of the greatest fan services I’ve ever witnessed. Spider-Man: No Way Home is one of the greatest MCU movies ever. What they managed to pull off is nothing short of mind-blowing and commendable.

Tom Holland has truly elevated the web-slinger to a whole other level with such a beautiful and powerful performance that it doesn’t just simply become an immensely satisfying film for MCU fans, but delivers one of the greatest films in cinematic history. The witty banter between Peter, MJ, and Ned continues to be the backbone of the franchise, and director Jon Watts and writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers never lose focus on that despite the immense source material and the extreme fan expectations they were given to manage.

Seeing past actors like Alfred Molina, William Defoe, and Jamie Fox reprise their iconic villains from past Spider-Man films was a spectacle. Dafoe is one of the great living actors not to have an Oscar and seeing him put on the Green Goblin suit was tear-jerking, delivering a jaw-dropping performance that becomes the perfect counterweight to Hollands compelling lead performances.

Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Maris Tomei deliver some of the most heart-touching performances that really elevate the film, which also include some of the most imaginative and best-looking CGI work Marvel has ever done. Some of the film’s biggest moments are definitely ones you won’t want to miss on the big screen.

Despite the amount of content and characters Watts had to work with, he brilliantly manages to give each character equal amounts of screen time and enough depth to make every performance memorable.

Overall, No Way Home is a fitting third act to the best Spider-Man trilogy ever made. Spider-Man: No Way Home is a monumental piece of filmmaking and the best of the Marvel Phase 4 movies so far.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now playing only in movie theaters.
