Dwyane Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds deliver Netflix’s biggest film ever with Red Notice, an action-packed thrill ride that doesn’t disappoint.
When an Interpol-issued Red Notice, the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop” (Gal Gadot). The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle, and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company.
Red Notice is an action-packed entertaining movie that has something for everyone and starring three of the biggest superstars in the world, so of course, I had to sit down a watch it. Writer/director Rawson Marshall Thurber definitely knows what he is doing here and puts together a very intriguing story. Combined with enough action, comedy, and thrills, I was engaged from beginning to end.
Needless to say that with a cast including Dwyane Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds, you are guaranteed to be in for a treat with outstanding performances and they definitely delivered on that. The action sequences were fantastic, and there is one fight scene between the three leads that is both hysterical and action-packed. And the fact that the movie has some awesome cinematography definitely helps to sell the film.
Overall, Red Notice takes you pretty much around the world in a heist adventure with interesting characters, faced-paced and epic action, and the right amount of comedy. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a sequel as the ending sets the stage for one.
Red Notice is now streaming on Netflix.
